How many courses are run per day?

We are at our busiest between mid-February to the end of May and then again in October and November. During these times, we run up to seven courses per day at the Edmonton Training Center. Classes include in-class courses as well as outdoor equipment training classes. During slower months, we usually run around two to three courses per day.

How frequently are courses run?

Course offering frequency varies on the demand of the class. For example, Forklift Training is offered up to four times a week to accommodate for the demand. Confined Space Training or Fall Arrest Training will run two times per week. Please check out our course calendar to see if the course you need is available.

Where do I sign in upon arriving for equipment operating training?

As there are no administrators onsite and instructors are not able to register anyone or process payments, you must confirm your booking before arriving for your training. You can do this by contacting customer service at: 780-742-5001.

Coquitlam Training Center

In collaboration with Leavitt Machinery, Advantage Learning Solutions now offers ESC courses in Coquitlam. Our Coquitlam Training Center schedules a wide variety of classes all year round, tailored specifically to working individuals. Coquitlam is one of many Leavitt facilities and one of the largest, offering courses almost every day of the week. In Coquitlam, we offer forklift certification along with skid steer, fall protection, telehandler and many more.

Our approach combines hands-on learning and collaboration, guided by professional instructors, to effectively communicate our course content. We reinforce learning with practical exercises, workbooks, and extra materials. We provide additional hands-on time for beginners and those new to operating machinery.

We're proud to say this location is one of the largest in BC and is stocked with equipment and amenities. Our Coquitlam location has a large yard capable of hosting two classes simultaneously and four classrooms. How many safety courses run per day in Coquitlam?

Do I need to bring anything with me to class?

Please bring a piece of government-issued ID with you.

Also, if you are attending an equipment training course in Coquitlam, you will need to come with the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). All participants are required to come wearing steel-toed boots and clothing appropriate for working outdoors in inclement weather.

We also recommend bringing your own hi-vis vest, hard hat, eye protection, and gloves. Although “loaners” are available for these items (vest, hat, eyewear, gloves) if you do not.

If you are not able to meet these requirements, you will not be able to complete the practical component of your training. This will then have to be rebooked for a $75 rescheduling fee.

What is the Coquitlam Training Center's cancellation policy?

A non-refundable fee of $25.00 will be charged to all companies that fail to provide a minimum of 5 business days’ notice for any changes to your booking. Such changes include rescheduling or cancellations.

Please note: The day the cancellation is requested, and the day of the course are not included in the 5-business days. Cancellation requests that are received after 4:00 pm local time (where the course is scheduled to occur) will be processed the following business day. Course changes, reschedules or cancellations made with less than 24 hours (1-business day) notice will be charged in full (100%). You will also be required to pay again in full (100%) for any rescheduled training.

Please be aware: Our sales office is closed on all weekends and statutory holidays. These holidays do not qualify as business days.

Participants that arrive late or miss their course will be charged in full (100%) for the course. They will also be required to pay in full (100%) to reschedule their course.

These fees do not apply towards the cost of any future rebooking. Any cancellations made prior to the course date must be communicated (by telephone or email) to the Operator Training office. A cancellation confirmation email will be provided to you for your records.

Course fee refunds that are related to cancellations will be refunded to the credit card used to make the payment within 3 business days of cancellation. For all other payment types, refunds will be issued by cheque and may take 2 to 3 weeks for processing and mailing.
